Cute marketing terms

So here I am, reading the book for my marketing class, when I run across a section that mentions acronyms used to describe segments of consumers.

yuppies = young urban professionals
bumpies = black upwardly mobile professionals
yumies = young upwardly mobile mommies
DINKs = dual-income, no-kids couples

In the 90s, these terms were less widely used. Instead, terms were used such as:
DEWKs = dual-eraners with kids
MOBYs = mother older, baby younger (really, is there any other way?)
GRUMPIES = exactly what you think.

What lead to this post was this title and description:
WOOFs: well-off older folks.

The chapter is starting off well already.

Funny you should mention that, for [info]malamute_daddy asked me the same question just after I paraphrased the section to him.

Sadly, they did not mention guppies.
